Is Mark Zuckerberg the only fighter for Facebook survival?

Despite the recent power of invisibility from press, CEO of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg finally address in front of CNN. He talked about the biggest crisis on Facebook’s head since the lawsuit of stealing the idea of it by Winklevoss twins in 2008. He also admits that the tech giant was not in top of the game during the U.S. presidential election. He totally regrets the idea of him not following up on some data mining firm like Cambridge Analytica. He also mentioned the fact that he never thought that this firms can breach again even after they have provided the full confidential report to delete the data without passing it to other firms. And we all know that this data is used to target some voters in last U.S. presidential election otherwise there is no way Donald Trump could win, By the way just because Trump wins the election doesn’t mean that only he has the access but I think Trump wins because they turn that data into more effective voter gaining strategies. But I think the number firm has given is just a big part of advertisement, because 50 million seems be to very big number. Senators are calling on Mark Zuckerberg to testify in front of congress, The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is investigating on this and Facebook stock price is declining like never before. Mark has shown positive attitude towards all of this and clearly said the he will be happy confronting everything he know to congress if congress want his testimony. He also tries and distinguish this scandal with other problems Facebook is facing right now like trolling online and the fact that social media decrease your self-confidence (according to various studies)

The basic concept behind all of this data scandal is to understand your personality to counter your idea with well planned political advertising at you. Seems ambitious right but yes it’s the normal practice in modern time elections. Even Obama has used it during his 2012 election but the point is he gave away the exact reason why they are having this data from you, which is perfectly opposite in this case. This is not only the violation of Facebook rules but also the violation of some rights of common people like right to privacy and stuff. Therefore Facebook decided some great alternatives to stop this type of breaching into data but providing a rule says that the programmer’s connection to data will automatically cancel if users don’t use the application in 3 months. I mean I know it’s not the solution to this problems but atleast they acknowledging that there is a problem and it’s a first step. We will definitely see the results in coming future.

Despite all this scandal and mud on using social media, I think that we all know that fact that the moment we enter this technical world we are connected, we are connected to the millions in one way or other and that the main benefits of this all thing, Globalization. But the fact that this all comes with the price is something we will never forget and pointing this on other social media is not something we should do because we all know we are in this together and today or tomorrow this all thing will be over us. I’m glad that Mark announce to give a notice to those 50 million people that their data has been corrupted, because I maybe after this they will change the god damn password of their account frequently and will think twice before giving away their data, just as advised. HAHA! So on the last note, I just want to say that people if we will stand opposite to Mark than we are standing with Cambridge Analytica and providing power to someone who has actually corrupted our privacy on the first place. We must be standing tall and be supportive to platforms because they are fighting this for us without us.
